ASKED BY: Barbi 0 0 0 1 0 0 10 ASK DATE: Sep. 15, 2005 CATEGORY: Suspension | Axel Axel Life Share:       Vehicle: 2003 Saturn Ion what is the life time of a car axel - I have a 2003 Saturn Ion that is over its warranty by 2000 miles because I drive it everyday for work, but the driver front axel is worn out - I have only had the car 2 years and Saturn Service Dept says they've never seen this before that it is a failure in a man made part because the boot isn't busted. I have the oil and filter change every 3 mos and tires rotated every 6 mos. - Should Saturn be responsible for a faulty part (axel)? Even if it was still under warrantee I'm not sure they would cover it.
