Oxygen Sensor Share:      
Vehicle: 1997 Ford Crown Victoria
Engine: V8 4.6 L
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: RWD
Oxygen sensor, which one is which? I got to change the bank 1 sensor just wanted to be sure I changed the right one.

Bank 1 is on the passenger side. If it is sensor 1, it is in front of the converter. If it is sensor 2, it is behind the converter.

Out of curiosity, what was the code you retrieved? Sometimes the sensor is not the problem.

Could a bank 1 sensor be used on hte bank 2 side?

Yes it can. They are interchangable.
