Car Won't Turn Over Share:
Vehicle: 2001 Pontiac Bonneville
Engine: V6 3.8 L
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: FWD
Recent Repairs: new battery& starter removed and checked along with checking all fuses and links.
I'm stumped on this, when turning on the key everything works ,dash lights, head lights etc. but the car won't turn over. I removed the starter thinking it might be the solenoid but had it checked and it's good. checked battery and all fuses and good.went to check neutral safety switch on top of tranny where hanyes manuel said it was and the switch is not there, there is no wires for it or anything there, I can see where it would go because of the mounting hole located under the shift selector. This bonneville has a console shift rather than a column shift will this make a difference. I need to find where Pontiac hid this switch to check it . For a while the car was starting off and on but now it won't start at all. Also I have reset security system thinking it might help but didn't.

Alldatapro states there is a position sensor inside the console. Not sure if that is the one you are looking for.
