Yes, that is the sound. If the truck has been sitting for more than 3 hours when I start it (allow it to warm up for a bit....1.5 minutes) and put it in drive to drive away.....as it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear....I hear a slight \'clank\' sound from the front of the vehicle. I\'m guessing the sound comes from the transmission. There is no mechanical problems....no loss in acceleration. I\'m not stomping on the gas when this happens. The strange thing is once it clanks that initial time it won\'t do it again unless I let the truck sit for about 3 hrs.

Is this something to be worried about?

My second question is: what are some recommended USB computer software packages that will allow me to plug in and see diagnostics information? Is there anything that will allow me to tune my vehicle? I feel like my truck is tuned to be more powerful than efficient.

Thanks.

As for the clank, have you checked with the dealer to see if there is anything they can do. As dor diagnostics, check autoenginuity or do a search on the web for diagnostic software. As far as tuning the vehicle from factory specs, check to see if it will void the warranty before doing anything with the PCM.
