How To Go About Fine-tuning A Honda
Vehicle: 2001 Honda Accord EX
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: FWD
Current Mileage: 140,000
If this guy will sell, then I plan to get the Honda EX. It\'s in pretty good shape (very little rust under the hood, what you might expect in Florida really). The leather interior is well taken care of, etc.
The car has V6 engine and it is at 140,000 miles. Are there any tips for Honda users to pay special attention to that could increase the life of their car?
With this many miles, I'm sure that the transmission will be the first thing to go. The engine is a good one, though. I just want to take good care of the car.

Well the key to taking good care of any car is maintnance. My experience with honda is very good. seen over 300,000 miles with original trans and engine with a good service record. usually when i myself get a used vehicle i would look in the repair manual and do everthing listed for the 60,000 mile service. This is the major one for a honda and therfore is the one that you want to make sure is done. Paying most attention to the timming belt. Then of course i would swap all the fluids as to not guess how many miles are on them. A good tune up then wouldnt hurt just to bring all the maintnance components to a new form so that you know where its at. Write all this down so that you wont have to guess as to the condition of your car.
